You can help California Poets in the Schools continue bringing innovative, high-quality poetry instruction to students in K-12 schools and beyond.
In 2015, California Poets in the Schools accomplished:
- Poetry writing workshops for over 26,000 California students
- My Mouth the Galaxy, our 2015 statewide anthology of student poetry
- A first-of-its kind poetry and film camp for teen girls
- A poetry course for critically ill children at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital
- Poetry Out Loud, a poetry performance program for teens
- Poetry programs for veterans, homeless and incarcerated youth
- Bilingual poetry workshops at Tia Chucha’s Centro Cultural & Bookstore in Los Angeles
